Transport
Based in Apollo Bay, you may be able to book shuttles with Walk91, depending on availability. They offer local shuttles in the area, or they have a bus that leaves from Apollo Bay and returns each day. This bus offers walkers the chance to explore parts or all of the Great Ocean Walk whilst they stay in Apollo Bay accommodation.

V-line bus service
The V-line bus is a great way to travel along the Great Ocean Road cheaply. Click on ‘Plan trip/Buy tickets’ and just select where you are leaving from and where you want to go.
Remember that Melbourne Southern Cross (or Flinders Street Station) tend to be the best ‘hop on’ spots in the CBD. If you are heading down to the Great Ocean Walk, get off at the Apollo Bay Information Centre if you are staying in accommodation near Apollo Bays main street. The train stops in Geelong Railway Terrace where a bus waits there for the train to arrive. You only need one ticket for the journey. Special tip! – sit on the left hand side of the bus (travelling from Melbourne) for great views of the ocean.

Colac Taxi Service
Colac is approximately an hours drive from Apollo Bay, and from the 12 Apostles. This service may be useful if you are intending to catch a train from Colac back to Melbourne (to meet up with the v-line service). +61 (03) 5231 2216
Coastal Chauffers
If you feel like travelling along the Great Ocean Road in style, consider booking in an E-Class sedan (4 passengers) or
a V-Class people mover (7 passengers) or a Sprinter (11 passengers)
12 Apostles Helicopters
If you want to save time and feel like a more exciting trip back to Melbourne, why not consider going by helicopter!
There are a couple of options available, but remember – if you have too much luggage this option might not be suitable!
