  2. Eastern Brown Snake (Pseudonaja textilis): Eastern brown snakes are highly venomous and are considered one of the most dangerous snake species in Australia. They are often found in grasslands, woodlands, and rocky areas. They can vary in color from light brown to dark brown.
  3. Copperhead Snake (Austrelaps spp.): Copperhead snakes are venomous and can be found in a range of habitats, including wetlands, forests, and heathlands. They have a coppery-brown coloration and are often associated with areas near water.
  4. Lowland Copperhead (Austrelaps superbus): The lowland copperhead is a venomous snake species that is endemic to southeastern Australia. It is found in a variety of habitats, including forests, grasslands, and coastal areas. It has a distinctive coppery-brown coloration.
  5. White-lipped Snake (Drysdalia coronoides): The white-lipped snake is a small, non-venomous species that is common in southeastern Australia. It is often found in forested areas and has a pale grey or brown color with a white lower lip.

It’s important to note that encountering snakes in their natural habitat are not dangerous if you maintain a safe distance and avoid disturbing or provoking them. If you come across a snake, it’s best to stay calm, move away slowly, and give the snake space to retreat.
